Advanced Turbify Seminar, Denver, CO, March 20, 2003

Advanced Turbify Seminar, Denver, CO, March 20-21, 2003

Join recognized designers Istvan Siposs and Michael Whitaker and fellow Yahoo! Store operators for this popular training seminar and learn how to build a custom Turbify. Responding to valuable suggestions from previous seminars, we are now offering one additional day of hands-on training in a state-of-the-art computer lab. This second day is optional, but we are confident that the combination of theory and practice will provide attendees with a compelling learning experience.

DAY ONE - CLASSROOM
This intensive one-day seminar will provide you with the information you need to improve the look and feel of your Turbify safely and efficiently. Using a live basic Yahoo! Store as a starting point, we will create a complete custom Turbify during the seminar that includes many of the most popular Turbify enhancements.
• The Advanced Interface
• Introduction to templates and RTML
• Understanding the built-in templates
• Customizing your store:
   • Adding a graphical order button
   • Adding a quantity box
   • Custom banner (top navigation; leverages your knowledge of HTML and third-party web design programs; FTP)
  • Relative table width (scale the page to the width of the browser)
  • Search box in the navigation bar
  • Putting text below the navigation buttons
  • Search engine considerations (text page titles and other SEO techniques)
  • Adding a third (right) column / bestsellers, cross-sells
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Working with prices ("You save ... %")
  • And more...
• "Do"s and "Don't"s of the Y! Store Editor.
Attendees will receive a comprehensive guide that includes all worked examples and topics covered in the seminar.
DAY ONE: Price: $349
DAY TWO - NEW! HANDS-ON COMPUTER LAB
We understand that working with Turbify templates and RTML can be intimidating at first. What better way therefore to learn hands-on using a live Turbify? Every attendee will work on a PC in a state-of-the-art computer lab and put into practice the knowledge gained from the first previous day. There will be lots of practical examples, from copying the built-in templates to creating your own custom templates.
Space is limited to 16 attendees in the lab so sign up early to reserve your space.
DAY TWO: Introductory price is only $200 and includes continental breakfast and afternoon snacks. Must be reserved with Thursday's seminar.
Who will benefit?
• Turbify owners
• Turbify designers
• HTML and E-Commerce developers
Prerequisites
• All attendees are expected to know how to operate a basic Yahoo!   Store; basic Turbify procedures will not be covered.
A good knowledge of HTML is strongly recommended. HTML concepts will not be covered.
