As a final thought, if you are still on Turbify and are only considering re-platforming, I would like to remind you that Turbify remains one of the most customizable e-commerce platforms available, and in many ways more customizable than its competitors. Some of the areas where Turbify truly shines are:
- Everything in the store pages' source is under template control and can be modified in virtually any way. If it is possible in HTML, it is also possible in Turbify.
- The checkout pages are also under our control. While we cannot directly edit the HTML source, CSS and JavaScript allow us to completely alter the look and feel or extend checkout functionality. This level of control is only available on Shopify Plus, which comes at a significantly higher cost.
- Any third-party software or service can be integrated into a Turbify store, even if Turbify is not listed as a supported out-of-the-box integration.
- You can optionally use a separate adaptive mobile template that is served only to mobile devices. This allows for a highly streamlined mobile experience that is not achievable with a responsive-only approach. This option is unique to Turbify.
The RTML template language is far more powerful than the templating language used by Shopify, for example. I am still surprised when even some of our long-time clients ask whether something is "possible" with Turbify. The answer is almost always a resounding yes, often without even needing to hear the question. If you can dream it, we can make it happen.
