Show Tariff Surcharge In Cart and Checkout
For Turbify Merchants

Tariffs are a reality - but unexpected price bumps at checkout do not have to be.
This add-on gives your store the tools to clearly and professionally display tariff-related surcharges, so your customers are never caught off guard.

Flexible Surcharge Options:

  • Set a global surcharge percentage for your entire catalog, or assign individual surcharge rates per product.
  • Choose how the surcharge is displayed in the cart:
    • Show the surcharge as an up-charge next to each affected product, or
    • Add a separate, automatic line item summarizing all surcharges in the order.

Customizable Labeling:
You define the surcharge label - whether it is "Tariff Surcharge," "Foreign Trade Fee," or something else that fits your brand and messaging.

No confusion. No surprise charges.
Just clear, merchant-defined handling of tariff costs, built right into your Turbify store.

How Does It Work?

Line Item Method:

On the product page, the surcharge is calculated based on the item's price. A fixed "option" is then added to the product with an upcharge equal to the surcharge amount. This option is not visible as a selectable choice and cannot be changed or removed by the shopper.

Summary Line Method:

The surcharge is calculated for the entire order in the cart. A separate, uneditable line item is added automatically to the cart with the total surcharge. Each time the cart is updated (for example, when quantities change or items are added or removed), the surcharge is recalculated and the cart will briefly refresh to show the new total.
