This is yet another area where Turbify and Shopify differ considerably. Since Shopify does not have the concept of a true hierarchy, it does not have "section" pages that can contain other sub-sections. The only area where the two platforms have close equivalents is Shopify "collection pages," which align with Turbify section pages that contain only products. However, Shopify collections are far more powerful than Turbify's product section pages.
In Shopify, when you create a new collection, you can choose between "manual" and "smart" collection types. A manual collection is the equivalent of Turbify's product list section page, a page where you specify the products manually. A Smart collection, on the other hand, is essentially a dynamic filter page that can display products from your entire catalog based on criteria you define. You can, for example, generate a collection based on tags assigned to your products, create one filtered by Vendor, by price range, or by products whose title includes a certain word or phrase, and much more. You can also combine multiple conditions to create more complex selection rules.
When we import collection pages from a Turbify store, we generate smart collections. The collection handle will match the ID of the source section page in Turbify, and the products in that collection get tagged with that same section ID. This gives you a similar management experience to Turbify while also unlocking all the advantages of Shopify's smart collections.
As for regular Turbify section pages that include sub-sections or links to other non-product pages, those need to be recreated either as generic pages or as metaobject-based pages in Shopify. We then use the store's Theme to add the appropriate links on the page.
